Easy Chicken Broccoli Wild Rice Soup

1 pkg. Chicken and wild rice mix
5 cups water
2 Tb. Chicken soup base or bullion.
2 cups cooked chicken cut up.
1 pkg. 10 oz frozen chopped broccoli, thawed or 2 1/2 cups fresh broccoli chopped
2 med carrot shredded
2 stalks celery sliced thin or minced.
2 tsp. minced onion  or 1/2 onion chopped
1 can 10 ¾ oz condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 pkg. cream cheese, cubed  or 8 oz. Velveeta cheese

Saute  carrot, celery, and onion in bottom of soup pot until tender. 

Then in pot add and combine rice, season packet and water, bring to boil and simmer for 10 min, stirring once.  
Stir in the chicken, broccoli,  Cover and simmer 5 min.  
Stir in Soup and cream cheese.  
Cook and stir until cheese is melted.

I usually double this recipe to take to functions.

Great with a salad and a nice large loaf of Italian bread.
